More Birthday Fun!

Sunday night we had our families over to celebrate AnaBella's first birthday. We have a great family who is always willing to support us in all that we do-thanks for coming!

Now we all know that I will never win the "Mother of the Year" Award, but I did finally do something that resembles something that a good mother would do-I made my daughter's birthday cake. I had many people comment on the beautiful Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cake that I made for Easton's Birthday (A 9 x 13 cake with frosting and the characters from the Harmon's cake) and I thought that I needed to redeem myself a little. Hopefully my next one turns out a little bit better. Frosting is a lot harder to work with than you would think.

We opened presents. Bella was more interested in the paper than she was in opening any of the presents. She received a lot of cute clothes, we can't wait to start putting them on her-I even tried most of them on her that night.

We now know what to get Mitchell for his birthday!

Next we moved onto the singing and the cake.

Bella didn't have enough cake, she had to eat the plate as well.

This was the best part of the night for AnaBella. Who doesn't love a bath in the kitchen sink!

Go Utes!

On Saturday we went to the Utah Vs. Weber game. We missed the first game because of Jackie's wedding, not that we minded Jackie! The boys have been so excited about going to the games. Easton was asking all day if it was time to go. We get in the car to drive up there and wouldn't you know it both of them fall asleep! Once we parked the car we told the boys to wake up, it was time for the game. The first words out of Easton's mouth are, "Is it true? Is it true?" Yes, Easton it was true, we were really there-what a nut!

Random Thoughts

These were just some pictures I took the day that I left to WV. I thought that was a cute one of the boys in their soccer uniforms.
I am always commenting on things that Easton says, or does, and I always feel like I am leaving Camden out. Well the other night we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory for Bella's birthday and we had the kids menu for the boys. On it is a word search that is probably meant for a 6 or 7 year old. Camden is three, almost four, and he told Spencer that he wanted to do the word search. Spencer said, Okay, and started helping him find the letters. Well Spencer started feeding Bella, because she wouldn't stop squilling (spelling???) unless she had food in her mouth. When he had a minute he went to go help Camden, but he was doing just fine on his own. He was finding the letters and kept looking at the word to make sure that he had everything right. He finished off the word search all by himself. He also can still spell the word fossil because of it. He is such a smart kid!

Boys Night!

Spencer has been promising the boys a night out under the stars, or in a tent, for quite awhile. Well tonight he is finally making good on his promise. The boys are out sleeping in a tent with their dad, and I am blogging at 2:30 A.M. I didn't think that they would really make it sleeping out there, but they were in seventh heaven. They watched a movie on the side of the house. Spencer set up a projecter and had the movie play right on our house. The picture doesn't look very clear here, but it was actually very clear. Easton kept saying, "This is the best idea ever Dad. This was such a great idea."

Happy Birthday Bella!!!

On the second Sunday of the month we get together with the Burt side of the family and celebrate birthdays. AnaBella is the only one that has a birthday in September so this was her special day. She received some really cute toys from the family, and she loved being the center of attention.

It was AnaBella's first birthday on the 25th of September. I cannot believe she is already One!!! The time has flown by. She is such a cute little girl and we love having her in our family. Her brothers adore her, for now. Her little personality is already showing itself. She loves to wrestle with her dad and brothers. Whenever she takes off and I go looking for her I can always find her playing in her brothers room. Food is her favorite thing right now. She will eat anything, and everything, in sight!

I could not get a decent picture of her today to save my life. Hopefully I will be able to get some better ones when we have her birthday party.

My Trip to Pennsylvania

My mom and I flew out to Charleston, WV on Saturday, Sept. 20th so that we could go up to my Aunt Lana's funeral. It was a pretty quick trip, with a lot of traveling. We arrived in West Virginia the evening of the 20th. On Sunday we spent the day at my Aunt Kitty's house. We went to church with her and my cousin Amy's family and then had dinner with all of them as well. On Monday morning we left for Altoona, PA at 7:00 A.M. and then had a five hour drive to my Uncle Donny's house. That afternoon and evening we attended two viewings for Lana. The next day we went to the funeral. Her nephew spoke and so did my Aunt Nancy. They also showed a short video of pictures from Lana's life. After the funeral we went back to my Uncle Donny's house and spent a little time there with him and my cousin Donny, and then we were back on the road again for another five hour drive back to WV. We finally got back to WV around 8:30 P.M. and then stayed up until after midnight. We had to be up by 4:00 A.M. so that we could leave by 4:30 to catch our 6:00 A.M. flight. Our flight had us home by 10:30 A.M., I was pretty exhausted after this trip!

I am so glad that I had the opportunity to make this trip. I was able to spend time with my Aunt Kitty and my cousin Amy, we had a great time spending time together. I wanted to show my love and support to my Uncle and Cousin. The best part about the trip was the stories that I learned; not only about my Aunt Lana, but about the whole Baughan family as well. They are a great family and I am lucky to be a part of it.

This is the beautiful pond that Aunt Lana loved, with her fish that loved her as well.

We stopped at a store on our way home that has a little restaurant, store, and little shops that are ran by a group of Amish people. It was such a beautiful drive home, all of the trees were beginning to change.

Lana J. Baughan, 62, of Duncansville died Thursday at Hershey Medical Center after an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Harry C. and Jean F. (Botts) Chittester. She married Donald Robert Baughan Sept. 24, 1965, in Winchester, Va.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years; a son, Donald R. Jr. of Duncansville; two sisters: Mara G. Daffron (husband, Thomas) in Arizona and Judith A. Scherzberg (husband, Ronald) of Martinsburg; two brothers: Guy A. Chittester (wife, Carole) of Altoona and Harry C. Chittester Jr. (wife, Maryann) in New York and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Lana was of the Presbyterian faith. She was a 1964 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking and entertaining
